The technique of weaving Persian carpet/rug
was established back in 525 B.C. when the
Achaemenes dynasty has unified the Orient.
After the seventh century as Islam spread
out in West Asia the Persian carpets kept
developing in their artistic characters and
reached the peak in production under the protection
of the Court. The methods of weaving, coloration
and patterns are under the strong influence
of the local way of life and have been inherited
in each district traditionally. Especially
for the nomadic tribes living in harsh conditions,
the carpets were treated with great care as
'second earth' for them. The patterns created
in the carpets describe their imaginary paradise.
The unique, its one of a kind mode of beauty
and marvelous touch keeps attracting people
worldwide. |
